How piquestions works
Piquestions is wikipedia-like and participatory database for short articles. Every registered user can enter
articles.

An article consists of title, subtitle, text and flags.
Title
The title is an, if possible, unique identifier summarizing the article.
Subtitle
The subtitle is used to group articles together. Articles to be grouped together, share the same subtilte, e.g the subtitle "10 Discriminatory Laws" is shared by 10 specific articles each explaining one disciminatory law. This is especially usefull when cutting a large text into pieces.
Text
self-explanatory!
Flags
Articles can have one of four different flags:
- rough draft (no emails will be sent)
- draft
- delete
- ok (public)
1. rough draft
This is for storage only and further editing by the same user. The articles is saved as is. Nothing else happens.
2. draft
Draft means that the article is sent to all registered users
3. delete
Marks the article as deleted
4. ok (public)
This article is publicly accessible for everyone.
If you just have a rough idea but don't want to edit it immediately,
use the 'rough draft' and edit the text any time later. If your text is
good but maybe not perfect, use 'draft'. The article is sent out to
all registered users so that they can respond to it by adding another
version (for versions, see below). With 'draft', the article is
spread, but not yet public.
If the article is perfect, use 'ok' and it will be publicly
accessible. For quality control, only selected people are allowed to
mark articles as public. At the moment, I am in charge of this, but
I strongly hoping to find people to assist me.
Versions
Every article can have different versions. The versions of an
article share the same keywords and the same links. This allows for
translation of an article without adding keywords and links again as
well as for for different phrasing.
Users can not edit other users' articles but must add a new version.
Quotes
A special flag is 'Is quotation'. It means that the text is a
quotation and a quotation author has to be selected. Similar quotes
by the same author can be grouped within one article and comments
can be added.
Tags
Keywords are predefined. A new keyword has to entered in the keyword
menu. This is to enforce the use of the same keywords.
